Antique Cast Iron Fireplace Inserts, Hobs and Grates.

Register grate or hob grate is a cast iron frame work with a central fire which is sometimes suspended higher off the floor that many of the other original arched and tiled fireplaces we sell. They are mainly all cast iron but occasionally have brass, copper or steel decoration.

The reclaimed fireplaces in this section are made from all cast iron, they mostly have square openings as opposed to the arched insert category. They range in date from Georgian, through the Victorian period into the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements.
