Antique Tiled Fireplace Inserts

Original Antique Tiled Fireplace Inserts from Antique Fireplaces
Reclaimed Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, tiled inserts all fully restored.
Tiled inserts generally have an outer plate of 36″ or 38″ but smaller ones are sometimes available; 30″, 32″ or 34″. Inserts are designed to have a separate surround, this can be made from marble, cast iron, slate, stone or wood whichever you prefer. The tiles shown with our antique fireplaces are available to purchase separately or you can choose a different set from the tile section. Fireplaces made up from a separate insert and surround generally make a larger fireplace, if you prefer something smaller with tiles look at the tiled combination fireplace section. Don’t be distracted by the size of your existing fire opening as this is easily changed, choose a fireplace that suits the size of your room and chimney breast. Traditionally the size of the fireplace depended greatly on the size of the house but the general rule was larger fireplaces downstairs getting smaller on each floor.
