Antique marble fireplaces and mantels come in a variety of marbles including Carrara, Statuary White, St Annes, Belgium Black and Rouge being the most popular ones, all are reclaimed and fully restored.
Antique marble fire surrounds made up of four sections of marble, the jambs or legs; upright pieces of marble either side the fireplace insert, the frieze; this is the section that spans across the legs and then the mantel shelf goes on top.

One some antique marble fireplaces there is flexibility to position the jambs at a width that best suits you cast iron insert. Crossover marble fireplaces, usually have a fixed length frieze which spans the whole width of the fireplace making them less flexible.
