Large Fireplaces are suitable for use in modest size living rooms or large bedrooms. All are combination fireplaces which means they are a complete fireplace in one, no separate surround is required. Traditionally the size of the fireplace depended greatly on the size of the house but the general rule was larger fireplaces downstairs getting smaller on each floor. Don’t be distracted by the size of your existing fire opening as this is easily changed, choose a fireplace that suits the size of your room and chimney breast.

Antique combination fireplaces are all in one fireplaces made from cast iron and come in a variety of styles; Victorian are usually highly decorative and generally shorter in height. Edwardian tall and thin with little or no decoration. Art Nouveau again are taller, commonly with sinuous roots and stems terminating in buds or stylized flowers. Arts and Crafts taking influence from nature with birds, butterflies, flowers and foliage.
