Arts and Crafts Tiled Combination Fireplace. Magnificent Arts and Crafts cast iron tiled combination fireplace made by Thomas Elsley, a prodigious London foundry well known for producing good Arts and Crafts fireplaces. The central cartouche is particularly attractive, festooned with life-like fruit. Complete with a good set of original Arts and Crafts tiles (slight damage to one of the tiles on the left-hand side). Price includes new back and grate. In excellent condition. One of a pair taken from a large house in Liverpool. The other fireplace is sold separately on page F162TC. Circa 1885.
