Arts and Crafts Cast Iron Tiled Insert. An absolutely breathtaking Arts and Crafts insert. The sliding canopy on this fireplace has to be seen to be believed. It contains all the good qualities of the Arts and Crafts movement with its flowing, sinuous lines drifting from the sun. The flowing ribbons, the dragonfly and the bird complete this amazing scene. We have never come across this insert before and consider it very rare. The insert is complete with a good set of original tiles. In excellent condition. From a house in Braintree, Essex. Circa 1906.
