Original Cast Iron Bedroom Fireplace designed by Thomas Jeckyll.
One of the
finest examples of a genuine aesthetic movement fireplace designed by Thomas
Jeckyll. Cast by Barnard, Bishop & Barnard, who's castings are easily
identified by a circle of bees. This fireplace, first registered 12th December
1875, was fitted into one of the rooms at Homerton College, Cambridge. In good
condition, has some damage to left hand leg which will not affect it and is
reflected in the price. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an exciting
piece of English history.
