Salvaged Victorian Cast Iron Surround

'Art and Industry' Victorian Cast Iron Fireplace Surround. A spectacular Victorian cast iron fireplace with the theme being art and industry. To the right is a Grecian lady with a pallet painting a tree (the picture doesn't really do it justice but it is visible on the fireplace). To the left hand side is a Greek mason carrying a bust. The centre panels have an abundance of entwined leaves, flowers and acorns. Note that the acorns are repeated under the shelf. A very rare fireplace with outstanding workmanship. From a large house in London. Circa 1892.

Tiled insert is sold.
